Helen Emanuel, founder of Favor Your Day, is a children's interior designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She strictly focuses on children's interiors while collaborating with other designers when hired for full homes. By doing so, she is truly a children's decor specialist providing stylish, inspiring, functional and safe nurseries, children's bedrooms and playrooms. She focuses on safe materials such as zero VOC paint, natural fiber rugs and low emission furniture as she believes this is an important approach when designing for babies and children. A graduate of Pace University in New York, she holds a hospitality degree that led her into event design in her early career until she eventually launched her own event company, Favor Your Day. She then quickly grew to be a children's events expert and organically expanded Favor Your Day to include children's interior design. 

Her services also include home staging and styling. When she is not designing fabulous playrooms or creating staged transformations, she enjoys time with her largest inspirations--her three children and husband, biking along the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront and volunteering for the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy.

Sydney is a true creative spirit. Through her dedication to Favor Your Day and her lifestyle blog, Small Talk With Syd, she is able to apply her passion for compiling beautiful content on a daily basis. With her solid networking skills and current pursuit of a BBA in Marketing, she is also FYD's collaboration queen! When she is not in the showroom, she enjoys taking boxing classes and exploring new places to eat.
